MIL ST Connector

larger image
Our MIL ST connectors and adapters are designed for use in various harsh environment applications, such as military shipboard, aerospace, plus land-based optical data communications systems. Available in both multimode and singlemode configurations, ST connectors comply with MIL-PRF-83522/16-DNX as well as /16-DNY specifications. Easy to install and maintain on the field, MIL ST connectors and adapters are DFARS compliant, as well as machined, finished, and assembled in the USA. Our MIL ST-ST adapters also comply with military specification MIL-PRF-83522/17-NY.

Stran has designed these connectors and adapters for higher spring force in order to meet the demanding MIL-C-83522 vibration and shock requirements. These are also compatible with MIL-STD-2042B Navy standard termination methods and all commonly-used hand and machine polishing equipment. Made from 303 and 316 stainless steel, the connectors also have pre-radiused zirconia ferrules to minimize field polishing needs.
